The sound quality is very poor and the volume is very low.
A:
If your vehicles audio system only has two speakers then you will require a specific two speaker iO SOT lead (SOT-iO2S) when you install iO PLAY. If iO PLAY is installed into your two speaker vehicle without the two speaker SOT lead you will experience very poor sound quality.
A:
If you are streaming music from a mobile phone check to see if your mobile features the A2DP (Stereo Bluetooth) profile. If your mobile phone does not have A2DP, the music will be streamed via the HFP (Hand Free Profile) profile and the sound quality will be poor. To benefit from iO PLAY's excellent sound quality use A2DP Bluetooth portable devices.
Tip:
An initial test to see if your mobile phone has A2DP Bluetooth Profile is to connect your mobile to iO PLAY and stream a music track to iO PLAY. If you see the Skip Back "<<" and Skip Forward ">>" icons on the console flash and stay bright this means the Music Streaming profile (A2DP) of iO PLAY has been activated. Therefore your mobile phone has A2DP.
A:
Sound tracks in MP3 format vary in quality. Please try streaming a high quality MP3 track to see if the poor quality still occurs.
